Confirmation

Confirmation is a sacrament of initiation in the Catholic Church in which the Holy Spirit strengthens the gifts first received at Baptism. Through prayer and the anointing with sacred chrism, individuals are sealed with the Spirit and empowered to live out their faith more fully, bearing witness to Christ in their daily lives. It is a deepening of one’s relationship with God and a call to active participation in the life and mission of the Church.

New this year Confirmation will take place in the 4th Grade. Because the current group of children received Confirmation last year in 3rd Grade, we will not be having a normal celebration of Confirmation this spring. However those wishing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation over the age of 3rd grade, outside of the traditional time frame, should contact Melissa at the parish office at [email protected].
