- Men of the Cross Ministry
  
  A Little Bit of History
  
  The Men of the Cross began in 2015, when one man started wearing a St. Benedict Crucifix and carrying another one in his pocket to share with others. Soon more men joined him, doing the same. Within a few months, about 20 men were wearing and sharing the crucifix, and the group became known as The Men of the Cross.
  Since then, the ministry has grown to over 65,000 members—entirely by God’s grace. We’re ordinary men with no marketing strategy or special expertise. We simply evangelize the old-fashioned way: one person at a time. Our approach is simple—just show up, ask the Lord each day what He wants us to do, and follow where He leads.
  
  The Three Pillars of the Men of the Cross Ministry
  
  Relationship– Wearing the Crucifix reminds us of the Lord’s presence with us always and encourages us to enter into dialogue with Him throughout the day. This helps us to grow in our relationship with Him.
  
  Identity – As we grow in relationship, we grow in knowing our true identity as beloved sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. Wearing a Crucifix is a badge that identifies us as a Christian to others, so we better act like one!
  
  Mission– Once we enter into a relationship with the Lord and learn our true identity, we can know our mission to share that love we have received with others. By wearing a Crucifix in public, we are showing that we are not embarrassed to share our identity as Christians. This opens the door to conversations where we can share our love for the Lord with others and offer them a Crucifix necklace to share in the Ministry. Someone may never talk to a stranger about religion or politics, but if you are wearing a Crucifix necklace you are telling others that it is all right to talk to you about religion.
  
  The Women’s Crucifix
  The ministry was originally intended for men only. After about five years, however, many women also began asking for a St. Benedict Crucifix. In response, we began offering a smaller size crucifix necklace for women as well, but there is no reason they can't choose to wear any size they feel comfortable with. Even so, our primary focus remains Men of the Cross. Women are not afraid to wear a Crucifix necklace, but men are! That is why our main focus is to get men to wear a Crucifix.
  
  Growing in Love for Jesus
  Our mission is simple: to grow in love with Jesus and share that love with others.
  
  We are not a Jewelry Store!
  You are welcome to receive as many crucifixes as you can put to good use. We are not a "Jewelry Store" just passing out Crucifixes. We want to give out Crucifixes to people who will wear them.

  Cost of the Crucifixes
  We don’t require payment to receive crucifixes. Our mission is to share Jesus with others. We have no funding from any organization, church or diocese. We are funded solely through donations and will not be able to continue the ministry without receiving donations. We have an all-volunteer team, and we buy our Crucifixes, chains, and packaging supplies in large quantities. We can assemble and package a crucifix necklace for around five dollars.
